PRACTICE IN PEACE:

We hold one of the largest stocks of violins, violas and cellos in the country. All instruments both old and new are carefully inspected and set-up in our workshops and are sold with a full guarantee. Each year we have a limited number of new instruments made entirely by hand by British makers, some of which are made in our own workshops. Violins, violas and cellos of all sizes and standards may be tried in one of our comfortable practice rooms. Players may take instruments away on approval to be played at home and shown to a teacher if necessary before buying.

CHOOSING THE RIGHT BOW:

Choosing the right bow is as important as choosing the right instrument. At Cremona House we carry a large selection of bows, including old master bows as well as student bows of all grades. Each bow is carefully handpicked and represents the best available in each price range. All bows are completely reconditioned. The best way to choose your bow is to see our entire selection in the shop. If this is not possible, then we can make a selection of up to four bows which come close to your requirements and send them on approval by registered post for you to try on your instrument, at home.

REPAIRS & RESTORATION:

Our reputation has been built on the quality and consistency of our repair and restoration work. All repairs to customer's instruments from the fitting of a bridge to a major restoration are carried out skillfully and sympathetically. All work is undertaken by a team of professionally trained restorers and is fully guaranteed. We are approved repairers for British Reserve Insurance Company.

ACCESSORIES:

We offer a comprehensive range of strings, cases and accessories which can be ordered by telephone and posted to customers anywhere in the UK and Eire, normally by return of post. We stock an extensive range of strings and cases. We also offer a sheet music service through Fuller Music who are specialists in this field. Sheet Music will normally be received the next day.

VALUATIONS, APPRAISALS & INSURANCE:

As agents and approved repairers for British Reserve Insurance Company, we have had many years in this field and will be glad to advise on any aspect of this commonly overlooked area. We are able to undertake the valuation of your instrument or bow, as well as valuations for probate. Verbal opinions are not charged for.
